Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Wellness Exams: Yearly office visits including comprehensive physical exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention and wellness bloodwork are essential and highly recommended.

Allergy Consults: Allergies can definitely be frustrating to deal with. There are several types of allergies and considering the fact that South Carolina is the ALLERGY CAPITOL OF THE WORLD many of our patients are affected in one form or another. Commonly seen are food, inhalant (seasonal pollens), and flea allergies. Each case is individual and we try to focus on the patient's symptoms and treatment depending on what they exhibit; allergies are like onion layers, there may be several symptoms to overcome first until one sees what the actual problem is. Once we can focus on the causes, we can start a regiment which will ease some of the stress associated with allergies for both the patient and the owner.

Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures including spay, neuter, declaw, tumoral removals, orthopedic surgery and emergency procedures.

Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures; our VetSpecs Monitorchecks heart rate, respiration, C02, SP02, temperature and blood pressure during the entire surgical procedure to ensure your pet's safety.

Ultrasound: We offer state-of-the-art ultrasound services; our doctors will perform abdominal and cardiac ultrasounds and consult with ultrasonagraphers on an individual basis.

Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality digital radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. You will also get a complimentary copy of your radiographs taken during your visit.

Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. We provide dental care for dogs, cats and exotics.

Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations, usually recieving results within 24 hours.

Permanent identification: We offer microchipping for our patients; this is vital in case of an emergency, loss, or theft. Our microchips are from ResQ, if you need additional information please let us know or you may visit their website at www.Petlink.net

In-House Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.

OnLine Pharmacy: The only online pharmacy we affiliate with is Vetcentric's VetStoreRx. The site offers easy and convenient options for home delivery 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Once we have an established relationship with our patients and clients we will gladly review a prescription request, once approved and processed it will be sent to your home. Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet. We offer topical products, as well as 36-hour hour or monthly flea pills (Comfortis).

Grooming: We do not offer grooming services due to space limitations, however, we will gladly refer you to local facilities.

Behavioral Consults with Dr. Constantine: Behavioral issues can be frustrating to pin-point and overcome. We offer behavioral consults to find underlying problems and try to solve them. Everyone in the household must be on the same page and be willing to work together to help the patient become happier and healthier.
